Director of Bands

Photo - Director of Bands PAUL WOROSELLO, is beginning his 35th year as Director of Bands at Klein Forest High School. He received his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Clarinet degrees from West Texas State University where he was a graduate assistant and student of Dr. Gary Garner and Rowie Durden. After a year spent in Galveston, Texas, Paul became Assistant Director at Klein High School in 1977, moved to Klein Forest as Associate Director when the school opened in 1979, and became Director of Bands in 1980, a position he has held since that time. His teaching duties include conducting the Honors Band, teaching AP Music Theory, coordinating the marching band program, and Assistant Conductor of the Full Orchestra. He also maintains an active schedule as an adjudicator and clinician of bands, and honor groups and band camps in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.

Mr. Worosello is a member of the National Band Association, Texas Music Educators Association (where he has been a State Board member for the past eighteen years as President of Region IX), Texas Music Adjudicators Association, Texas Band Masters Association and just completed a two year term as President of Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Mu. He is a member of numerous state committees, the most significant being chairman of the Committee to Revise the UIL Prescribed Music List (1989 - 1993). Selected to "Outstanding Young Men In America", he has received the Medal of Honor from the Mid - West International Band and Orchestra Clinic, and twice received the National Band Association Citation of Excellence. Under his direction, the Honors Band has performed at the National Concert Festival at Northwestern University (1993) and Indianapolis (1997) as well as performances in Carnegie Hall in 1999, 2003 and 2007. In 1997 Paul was awarded the Diploma of the Sudler Order of Merit from the John Philip Sousa Foundation as a Legion of Honor Laureate, one of ten awarded nationally each year. The Klein Forest Band was recognized in 1998 with the Sudler Flag of Honor, a "national award recognizing a high school band program of very special merit."

Paul's wife Susan is a music teacher at Greenwood Forest Elementary in the Klein Independent School District. They have two children: Anna, who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and Tygar, a Senior Music Performance Major at The University of Northern Colorado.

Assistant Director

Photo - Assistant Director LYNDA EUBANKS is in her 5th year as Associate Director of Bands at Klein Forest High School. Prior to this appointment, Lynda had been the Director of Bands at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio since 1995. Previously Lynda served as Director of Bands at Hillside Middle School in Seven Hills, Ohio. Upon arriving at Valley Forge High School, Lynda helped revive the Concert, Marching and Jazz programs to a new level of success. By building a quality staff and placing student success as THE priority, the program continued to grow and prosper.

Lynda is an active music adjudicator for Drum Corps International, high school marching band circuits across the country, and is also active as a clinician and program consultant.

Lynda was awarded the distinction of "Jennings Scholar" in 1997 by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, "Outstanding Educator" in 2005 from the Nobel Foundation, and "Who's Who Amongst American Teachers" in 1998 and 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Always striving to create new programs for students, she is the Founder/Director of the BRAVO! Summer Youth Band Program, the Valley Forge New Music Commission Program, as well as the Parma Area All-City Concert and Jazz Festivals.

Lynda received her Bachelor's of Music Education from The Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music where she studied with Deidre McGuire, William Hebert and Dwight Oltman. She received her Master of Music from Kent State University studying conducting with Dr. Wayne Gorder, and is more than half way to completing her Doctoral studies as well.

Lynda is excited to be a part of the Klein Forest Band program and although she misses her family and friends in Ohio very much, is looking forward to her first snow-less winter ever!!

Assistant Director

Photo - Assistant Director RYAN BARKER is a graduate of Sam Houston State University where he studied with Randy Adams (Trumpet) and Matthew McInturf (Director of Bands). Mr. Barker has worked with Clear Brook High School and College Park High School. In the summer of 2004, he marched in the mellophone section with the Phantom Regiment to the show title of Appasionada 874.

Mr. Barker's family is filled with musicians! His brother, Matthew, is a TMEA All-State trumpet at Pasadena Memorial High School and his mom is an award winning Orchestra director in La Porte ISD. His dad, Mike, is a band director in Clear Creek ISD at Brookside Intermediate and tours Europe every summer with Alpenfest german band. His wife, Cheryl is working on her Masters in School Psychology at Sam Houston State University.

Percussion Director

Photo - Percussion Director ERIC RIDENOUR is beginning his first year as Percussion Specialist at Klein Forest High School. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Music from the University of Colorado in Denver. Before this position at Klein Forest Eric was the Percussion Director for Pomona High School. He has also taught at numerous high schools around the Denver metro area including Legacy, Northglenn, Bear Creek, Lakewood, Ralston Valley, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, and Loveland.

Eric was a marching member of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps from 2001-2002, a member of the Blue Knights Indoor Percussion Ensemble from 1999-2003 and 2005, and a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps in 2004. He taught the Blue Knights Indoor Percussion Ensemble from 2005-2008 and the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from 2006-2008. Eric was a PAS clinician in 2006 and 2007 at the PAS International Convention. He is endorsed as an educator by Innovative Percussion and Evans Drumheads.

Eric recently moved to Houston from Lakewood, Colorado, where he was an educator, freelance percussionist and avid snowboarder.
